Originally released as a paperback in 2007, Striking It Rich has proven to be a highly reviewed story (15 5-star, 2 4-star) about a plastic surgeon who rediscovers golf and sets out to join a professional golf tour. It takes place in Cambodia where author Reid Sheftall is performing restorative surgeries on burn victims. We learn how he paid off his medical education (blackjack in Reno and Las Vegas), his educational journey (he started in physics) and a few life lessons on his way through Qualifying School in Asia.
